Originally from Wigan, United Kingdom, Debbie Buckley relocated to Canada in 2014 and has been an integral part of Attaché Stables ever since. With a strong academic and equestrian background, Debbie brings a rare combination of organizational expertise, horse-world experience, and international perspective to her role as the office lead for the program.
Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where she also rode for the university team. Competing and placing at the British Universities National Championships, demonstrating her own competitive involvement in the sport alongside her studies.
Before transitioning into show jumping, Debbie gained valuable industry experience working in horse racing, further broadening her understanding of high-performance horses and professional operations. Her equestrian career has taken her around the world, including time living and working in Australia, before ultimately settling in North America.
Debbie spent several years as a travelling show groom for Ben Asselin, competing across Canada, the United States, and Europe. This hands-on experience at top-level competitions gives her exceptional insight into the logistical, administrative, and practical demands of an international show-jumping program.
Today, Debbie applies that knowledge in her role in the Attaché Stables office, where she manages the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the program running smoothly. Her attention to detail, deep understanding of the sport, and longstanding commitment to the team make her an invaluable part of the Attaché Stables operation.
