Kelly Koss-Brix

Kelly Koss-Brix is a Calgary-based business leader and former international show-jumping athlete whose career bridges high-performance sport, corporate governance, and equestrian facility management. With a lifelong passion for horses and a professional background shaped by discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking, Kelly brings a uniquely balanced perspective to every role she undertakes.

A graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Kelly began her professional journey in the competitive world of international show jumping. Over the course of her athletic career, she represented Canada at FEI-level competitions, including Nations Cup events, and earned a reputation for her work ethic, attention to detail, and deep understanding of horse development and performance. She retired from competition in 2017, transitioning her knowledge and experience into leadership positions within both the equestrian and corporate sectors.

Today, Kelly serves on multiple boards, including ATCO Ltd., Canadian Utilities Limited, and Spruce Meadows Ltd., where her strategic insight, governance experience, and familiarity with high-level sport contribute to the continued growth and stability of these organizations.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Kelly remains actively involved in the equestrian community. Her connection to the Calgary sport-horse world continues through her involvement with Attache Stables, where she supports a modern, quality-driven training and horse-care program located just minutes from Spruce Meadows. Her dual background in business leadership and elite competition allows her to foster environments that prioritize horse welfare, professional development, and operational excellence.

Driven, thoughtful, and committed to excellence, Kelly Koss-Brix embodies the professionalism and passion that define Canada’s equestrian landscape — both in and out of the ring.
