Well it was a very nice and relaxing week off before the start of the CSI 4* ‘Canada One’. I was able to spend some quality time with my family and friends at our place in the Okanagan Lake in BC, and the horses enjoyed some well deserved pasture time.

The whole team is very prepared for the last three weeks of the Spruce Meadows Summer Series. The horses all jumped to a great start the first two weeks with great placing results. I’m really looking forward to this week’s Grand Prix in preparation for the Queen Elizabeth II Grand Prix at the ‘North American’ Tournament.

Plume de la Roque feels like she is in form for a couple easier competitions this week, so that I can bump her up for the ‘North American’ and have Doremi substitute for her in the Imperial Grand Prix this Sunday.

Carmen will be ramping up her game also with her and I’s first FEI debut in the 1.45m on the Meadows on the Green Ring. She was within the top 5 in both her 1.40m competitions last week and I’m so excited about her future.

My young horse Fayvor is handling her Spruce Meadows Summer Tour like a pro, with clean rounds in the 1.30m and the confidence to do more in the future.

That win hasn’t come yet, but I’ve enjoyed every single minute of competing with my team. I’m so grateful to work with these amazing animals and my incredible team who make it all possible. I can sense some great success in the near future. Bring on the last leg of Spruce Meadows!
